The COMPASS test helps place students into appropriate courses, and provides information postsecondary schools need to ensure student success.The computer-based test covers mathematics, reading, and writing.

The ACT Assessment® is designed to assess students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.

The SAT has recently changed. The class of 2006 will be the first to take the new SAT in spring 2005. The test will include three main sections: writing, critical reading, and mathematics. The biggest changes are that there is now a student-written essay and more advanced algebra.
